It's Not All, That Behind the Darkness of Things / [ˈɛ.tə ˈnʲe ‘to. ˈʂto. ˈje.stʲ ˈfsʲɵ] / Eto ne to chto est’ vsyo

Borya: I sketched the basis of this thing at a very difficult time for myself after my brother passed away. My main occupations then were fasting, prayers and severe austerities. In the composition, I tried to find a combination of rigor and rigidity with a sense of flight and complete inner freedom.

Vitya: One of the most beautiful facets of creativity is the unpredictability of turns. Our band was heavily inspired by Ninja Tune's nu-jazz in the past, which may sound strange to those who are familiar with our past dark releases. Years later, we got the opportunity to work with material that was in our dreams then, but realized only now, with help of wonderful saxophonists who bring our ideas to life.



Боря: Основу этой вещи я набросал в очень тяжелое для себя время после ухода родного брата. Главными моими занятиями тогда были пост, молитвы и суровые аскезы. В сочинении я попытался найти сочетание строгости и жёсткости с ощущением полёта и полной внутренней свободы.

Витя: Одна из самых прекрасных граней творчества – непредсказуемость поворотов. Наша группа во многом вдохновлялась ню-джазом лейбла Ninja Tune, это может прозвучать странно для тех, кто знаком с нашими прошлыми сумрачными релизами. Спустя годы у нас появилась возможность работать с материалом, который зарождался в нас ещё тогда, но реализовался только сейчас, не без помощи замечательных саксофонистов, которые помогли нам воплотить задумки в жизнь.
